How do I replace the A/C air filter safely?
- Turn off the blower before removing the filter to avoid personal injury.
- The filter is in the fresh-air inlet at the lower right of the center console.
- Remove the passenger-side console closeout, release the filter-cover retaining tab, and remove the cover.
- Pull the filter straight out, noting its position indicators before removal.
- Install the replacement with its position indicators facing the same direction, fully engage the cover tab, and reinstall the console closeout.
- Follow the filter arrow for airflow direction, because incorrect installation requires more frequent replacement.
