1. Another registered key, an automated toll-road device, or an automated payment device on the key ring may interfere with starting.
2. Keep the ignition switch ON for approximately 5 seconds, move it to OFF or LOCK, and wait approximately 5 seconds.
3. Do those ignition-switch steps again, then restart the engine with the interfering device apart from the registered key.
4. Should the no-start condition return, put the registered key on a separate key ring to prevent interference from other devices.

The engine runs for 10 minutes; you may repeat the remote-start operation once for another 10 minutes.

After two starts, or one start with an extension, cycle the ignition ON and then OFF before using the feature again.

The indicator means Vehicle Dynamic Control has been turned off in the lower display.

Reactivate VDC in the lower display or restart the engine, and leave it on except when freeing the vehicle from mud or snow.

Within two weeks or before driving 500 miles (800 km), replace the engine oil, since degraded oil may harm the engine.
