How do I replace the key fob battery?

2018–2019

  1. Remove the screw, separate the case with a small screwdriver, and use a cloth to protect the casing.
  2. Install a CR1620 or equivalent battery with the positive side facing the bottom, without touching the circuit or terminals.
  3. Close the lid, reinstall the screw, and operate the buttons to check the key fob.
  4. Keep children from swallowing the battery or removed parts, and follow local battery-disposal regulations.
  5. NISSAN recommends dealer service if replacement is required.

What should I do if I lose my keys?

2015–2017

If every key is lost, a NISSAN dealer can make duplicates from the recorded key number; if you have one key left, duplication does not require that number.

Store the key number somewhere secure, like your wallet, rather than the vehicle, since NISSAN does not keep key numbers.
