2015–2016 BMW M5 FAQ

How do I access the fuse boxes safely?

Open the glove-compartment lid by pushing the handle up, or open the cover on the right-side trim in the trunk.

Never repair a blown fuse or substitute another color or amperage; the separate sheet lists fuse types and locations, and an overload could cause a vehicle fire.

How do I replace a xenon headlight bulb?

Do not replace a xenon headlight bulb yourself; have all xenon-system work performed only by a service center because high voltage can cause fatal injuries.

What should I do if an LED headlight malfunctions?

With LED headlights, all front lights and side indicators use LED technology; contact your service center if a malfunction occurs.

How do I reset the tire pressure monitor after adjusting tire pressure?

  1. Set the tire pressures correctly before resetting, because reliable pressure-loss signaling is not assured otherwise.
  2. Reset the system after every pressure adjustment and every tire or wheel change, using wheels with TPM electronics.
  3. On the Control Display, select Vehicle info, Vehicle status, and Perform reset.
  4. Start the engine without driving, select Perform reset, and then drive away.
  5. After driving faster than 19 mph/30 km/h briefly, the system accepts the pressures and completes the reset automatically.
