2014–2017 Chevrolet SS FAQ
How do I replace the remote transmitter battery?
- Replace the battery when the DIC displays REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY; do not touch the transmitter circuitry because static can damage it.
- Press the transmitter button to extend the key, then pry off the battery cover with a finger.
- Push the battery toward the key blade to remove it, then install a CR2032 or equivalent with the positive side facing up.
- Snap the battery cover back onto the transmitter.
What should I do if the ABS warning light comes on while driving?
Stop as soon as safely possible, turn off the vehicle, and restart the engine; if the light stays on or returns, have the vehicle serviced.
If the ABS and brake system warning lights are both on, the regular brakes also have a problem, so see your dealer for service.

Have the headlamp wiring checked right away because an electrical overload may cause the lamps to cycle or stay off.
Page 296 in the 2017 manual →What should I do if my automatic transmission fluid is low?
You do not need to check the automatic transmission fluid level; a leak is the only stated reason for fluid loss.
Have any leak repaired by the dealer as soon as possible because checking and changing the fluid requires a difficult special procedure.
