2020–2021 Polestar 1 FAQ
What should I do if the charging cable shows a flashing red light?
A flashing red light means charging is not possible because of a critical fault; unplug the cable from the charging input socket, then the power outlet, and contact Polestar Customer Support if the problem persists.

If the ground fault breaker trips and the LED glows steady red, have the outlet checked by a licensed electrician or try another wall outlet; do not connect the cable to a damaged socket.

The Check Engine light means OBD II detected an emissions-control fault, which may be temporary or permanent.
Have the vehicle diagnosed and, if necessary, serviced by a qualified technician, then contact Polestar Customer Support.

- This feature applies only to automatic-transmission vehicles in certain markets; follow local law.

- Keep people and animals away; avoid unventilated enclosed spaces and contact hazards.
- In Home, select Remote start, set duration, tap Start, and enter your Polestar ID password.
- Engine status must be OK and fuel must exceed 8 liters (2.11 US gallons).
- Driving remains disabled until you press the brake and turn the start knob; after two app starts, use the key.
How do I start the parking heater remotely?
The heater starts only below 15 °C (59 °F), with enough fuel, battery charge, and cellular coverage.
In the app Home tab, select Parking heater and choose start; instant operation runs 50 minutes or until shut off.

Page 708 in the 2021 manual →What should I do if the brake fluid level is low?
If the brake fluid level is low, fill the brake fluid and determine the reason for the loss.
