- 1. Open the glove box, remove the damper shaft, unlock both stoppers, pull the box down, then remove its hinge carefully.
- 2. Pinch both tabs to remove the cover, tilt the filter end down, pull it out 0.4 in (1 cm), then slowly remove the rest.
- 3. Install a new filter, reinstall the cover, and make sure the arrow mark points UP; use only a genuine SUBARU air filter kit.
- 4. Reinstall the glove box, connect the damper shaft, and close the glove box.
When should I replace the cabin air filter?
2018–2025
Replace it according to the schedule in the Warranty and Maintenance Booklet, or more often under extremely dusty conditions.
Contact a SUBARU dealer even before the scheduled time if airflow through the vents decreases or the windshield fogs easily.
