The brake warning light can indicate that the reservoir fluid has dropped below a certain level when the engine is running and the parking brake is fully disengaged.

If it comes on, immediately have the brake system inspected by a Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop.

Stop immediately in a safe place because an engine misfire may melt the catalyst; avoid withered grass and drive slowly only if movement is required.

Have the emission-control damage fixed at a Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop, since continued driving can cause permanent damage and affect fuel economy and driveability.

Loosen the spare tire holder hook bolt, unhook the holder, lower it slowly, and remove the tire.

Make sure the spare tire is fixed securely because a loose tire may cause noise during driving.

The light should come on with the ignition ON and go out after starting; if it stays on while running, the emission-control system is damaged.

Bring the vehicle to a Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop for repair; if equipped, the light also indicates an Auto Gear Shift system problem.

If the replacement fuse blows again shortly afterward, have the vehicle inspected immediately by a Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop because a major electrical problem may exist.
