2004–2010 Chrysler Sebring FAQ

What does the brake warning light mean, and what should I do?

2009–2010

The brake warning light may indicate an applied parking brake, low brake fluid, or a brake or anti-lock brake system problem.

Driving with the light on is dangerous because stopping may take longer; have the vehicle checked immediately, and repair the ABS system immediately if the ABS light also comes on.

What does the cabin air filter do?

2009–2010

If equipped, the A/C filter keeps most dust and pollen out of the cabin while filtering air from outside and inside the passenger compartment.

What should I do if the engine misfires or loses performance?

2009–2010

Have the vehicle serviced promptly; continued operation with a severe malfunction could overheat and damage the catalytic converter and vehicle.

What should I do if the charging system light stays on while driving?

2009–2010

While driving, switch off some electrical devices if the light appears; if it stays lit, obtain service immediately from an authorized dealer.

What should I do if the oil pressure warning light stays on while driving?

2009–2010

The light indicates low engine oil pressure; if it stays on while driving, stop, shut off the engine, and do not operate the vehicle until the cause is corrected.

When should I change the engine oil?

2009–2010

Change the oil when the indicator appears, then have the vehicle serviced as soon as possible, within 500 miles (805 km).

Do not exceed 6,000 miles (10 000 km) or six months between oil changes, whichever comes first; change oil more often for severe conditions such as dusty, very short-trip, off-road driving.

2004–2006

  1. With the hood open, take out the two headlight assembly mounting screws, then draw the assembly outward from the vehicle.

How do I drive after using remote start?

2009–2010

Can I jump-start a frozen battery?

2004–2006
